Green Fall Eye using Maybelline Color Tattoo Pure Pigment in Forest Fatale

Oh hey look. Remember when I said I was on a fall kick? Oh hey, remember when I said I've been into green? Yep. And, my nails are green, and my dress for my cousin's wedding this weekend is green. The funny part is that green isn't usually a color I'd pick. Hmm.. This look is quite different and I'm really liking it. Normally I shy away from so much of the same color in an effort to not look like I'm from the wrong decade, but this worked out really well. As far as the Maybelline Color Tattoo Pure Pigments? I loved this one. Really great stuff. I've only used this one, but you can bet that I'll be buying others. Highly recommended! On to the look.

Step 1: Apply Maybelline Color Tattoo Pure Pigment Forest Fatale all over the lid.
Step 2: Apply a black shadow (I'm using Crave from the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette) into your crease and outer third of your lid. I applied it in a "V" shape on my lid.
Step 3: Apply Forest Fatale to your inner corner and around all the way across your bottom lid. I used Sigma's E05 eyeliner brush to get a really thin line.
Step 4: Apply the same black shade from step 2 just below the green on the outer third of your bottom lid, making sure it's blended into the color from step 2. Then smudge the green and black together just a little bit.
Step 5: Eye liner. I used 3 different ones. (Ridiculous much?) I applied Urban Decay's 24/7 Liner in Oil Slick on my top water line, and then applied the black shadow (UD Crave) as my normal liner. Lastly, I used Urban Decay's 24/7 Liner in Graffiti on my bottom waterline, instead of a typical black liner to really brighten this look.
Step 6: Finally curl your lashes and apply mascara. I used YSL Babydoll, which I'm running out of - any suggestions for my next mascara?

What do you think? Is this a look you'd wear? I think I might be able to rock this look at the appropriate event. I don't usually wear such heavy or bold makeup, but I really like this. Did I say that yet? =)

Urban Decay Naked 3 Tutorial

Pigs are flying! I finally used my Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette! Alright, so I only used two shades, but that's way better than I've done over the past 4 months. (Has it really been that long?) This look is super simple and really pretty for the spring. It's just a fresh, bright rosy look. Hope you enjoy! Step 1: Start with a base or primer. I uesd a Sigma Eyeshadow Base in Provoke which is just a nude base color. Then apply Burnout over all but the very outer corner of your upper lid. Step 2: Apply Buzz in the outer corner. Step 3: Line your top lash line with a dark brown to create a softer look. I used Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner in Damsel. Step 4: Line your waterline and inner corner in white. I used Rimmel London Soft Kohl Eye Liner Pencil in 07 Pure White. Step 5: Curl your lashes and apply mascara. I used a combination of L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black and L'Oreal Telescopic Carbon Black. Face: It Cosmetics ...

L'Oreal Telescopic Carbon Black Mascara

Let's talk mascara. I am in love with the L'Oreal Telescopic Carbon Black Mascara. I also love the Voluminous Carbon Black mascara, but it's a little difficult to work with, which prompted me to pick up the Telescopic mascara in the Carbon Black line. The Carbon Black line is exactly what it sounds like - meant to be a super black mascara, more than usual. The telescopic does not disappoint in this. I think it's even blacker than the Voluminous. To compare these two, the Voluminous is a volumizing more dry formula with a dense bristle wand, while the Telescopic is a lengthening, wet formula with a plastic applicator. (They do have a Telescopic mascara that isn't Carbon Black if you find the Carbon Black mascaras too black, like if you have lighter eye lashes.) Hopefully you can see from the above photo that this wand is a little different. It's a plastic applicator that has four sides. On each of the corners, it has the little spikes that a normal wand ...

Dare To Be You

Oh my gosh. I still can't get over this article. Go read it here . You can come back. I'll wait. You're back. Okay. Good. Because I want to tell you exactly how true this is. I spent 27 years of my life trying to be someone else, trying to be someone who I was not created to be. I looked to everything and everyone and wanted what they had, what they were doing, their entire life. And I chased money, fame (yes, I'm admitting it), and everything in this world you can think of. (Except illegal things. I have my parents/upbringing and God to thank for that.) You name it, I wanted it. And I wanted to BE everything. I literally have a document sitting on my external hard drive entitled, "Who I Want To Be" and let me tell you, it includes about 20 different "jobs" if you will. And each of them can be pin-pointed back to a single person or shall I say..."inspiration." I wanted to have a blog (hey, look-y here!); I wanted to have a YouTube chan...
