This is a look that has been my go-to for weeks now. It's so simple, it really doesn't need a full "tutorial" but I thought I'd throw it out here anyways. I ordered the Chanel Prelude quad a while ago and was slightly disappointed when I first opened it up - blame it on the huge beautiful palettes that I've been buying lately. When I first used it though, I was in love. The shadows are so absolutely subtly beautiful! If you're looking for a natural smaller palette or quad for travel (and are in the position to spend an obscene amount of money), I'd definitely recommend this one! It'll for sure be the one I travel with, and just reach for anyways. Step 1: Apply the top left shade on the outer corner of your top lid like you would a line and flick it out just a little. Today I thought I'd do a full face look. I've started posting the products I'm wearing in the eye tutorials that I do, but thought I'd go ahead and actually give a little more detail about how I use them, what I like about them, ect. I start by applying Benefit's the POREfessional to most of my face. I like this because it reduces the size of your pores, aka, it fills them in which makes your skin looks smoother. For me I notice most of the different on my nose and the apples of my cheeks. As far as the primer part of this, I don't personally think it does much, but I like the look it gives me so I keep using it. =) Next I apply my foundation. I've been loving the Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation. (I talked about this in my december favorites .) I use the color 240 Soft Beige and I apply this with the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. I pour a little onto the front of my hand and basically dot a little on my face with my finger. The holiday's are approaching so quickly this year. If you think about it, it's really incredible how time seems to go by so much quicker as you get older. Not that I'm aging or anything. =) Time really has escaped me and this might be my only holiday look this year. I used Bobbi Brown's Oysters and Caviar palette, which was limited edition, but the shadows I used are pretty standard. Hope you enjoy and are having a good holiday season so far! Today's look is a take on Michelle Phan's Autumn Ombre . If you haven't seen her video yet, go watch it because it's awesome. I really liked this look but it's not something I would wear every day or even as a more glam look. So, I decided to take it, do a little re-mix, and make it a wearable natural look. It's not quite as fun, but I think it still captures the essence of Michelle's. So first watch her video, then follow the same steps but with the below shades instead. I'll be using Urban Decay's Naked Basic Palette. Step 1: Apply Naked2 to your lid as a base. Step 2: Apply Faint in your crease. Step 3: Use the highlight color Venus in your inner corner and bring it down around your lower lid, almost half way. Apply Naked2 to the outer half of your lower lid. It's been a while - oops. I actually photographed this tutorial over a week ago, but I've fell so into a deep, wide cavern of love for the guitar that I've been playing it as much as I can. Seriously love there. Anyways, this eye makeup is using Michelle Phan's em cosmetics to create a natural yet golden glitter eye. I'm using eye shadow from look 4 in the Night Life life palette, but these are super basic shades that you could use any for. Step 1: Apply a neutral base all over your lid. I used a slighly pink one, Sweet Dessert. Step 2: Apply a light brown shade, softly, to the outer quarter of your lid for a little dimension. I'm using A La Carte. Step 3: Apply a gold glitter shade to the inner corner (where you would usually highlight) and up into the inner half of your crease. Today I have a very natural, pretty much no makeup, eye tutorial. In some lights, it looks like you have absolutely nothing on, while in others it looks like you have on just a little. I like to use this type of makeup when I don't feel like having bare eyes, but don't want my eyes to stand out either. I used Urban Decay's Naked2 Palette and Maybelline's The Rocket Volume Express. For brushes, you just need a flat shader brush and a blending brush. You could use the double ended brush in the palette itself, but I find it too stiff to work with most of the time.
