Natural No Makeup Eye Tutorial

Today I have a very natural, pretty much no makeup, eye tutorial. In some lights, it looks like you have absolutely nothing on, while in others it looks like you have on just a little. I like to use this type of makeup when I don't feel like having bare eyes, but don't want my eyes to stand out either.

I used Urban Decay's Naked2 Palette and Maybelline's The Rocket Volume Express. For brushes, you just need a flat shader brush and a blending brush. You could use the double ended brush in the palette itself, but I find it too stiff to work with most of the time. I hope you enjoy!

1. First, you'll want to prime your eyes. I used Urban Decay's Eyeshadow Primer Potion in the color Original. Any primer will do here, just don't use one with shimmer since this is a natural look. Next take an eyeshadow that matches your skin. I'm using Urban Decay's Foxy. Place that all over your lid to give it a good base.
2. Next take a flat shader brush and a darker matte color. I'm using Urban Decay's Tease here. Any darker shade will do. You can go as dark or light as you want. Just remember to choose a matte shade. Place this in your crease. Don't worry about it looking messy. You're really just placing it in the spot you want.
3. Work it into the crease, blending until it looks smooth.
4. Repeat the above two steps until you get the desired darkness you'd like in your crease. I just applied Tease once so that it's a soft version of the shade. Then, using the same shade, apply a little more to the outer third of your crease and eyelid. Blend this softly.
5.To add a little depth, take a darker shade with a slight shimmer and apply just a very little on the outer edge of your crease/eyelid. I'm using Urban Decay's Busted. You can see in the image below that I really didn't use much but you should apply as much as you want to create depth.
6. Blend that out and you're done with the eyeshadow!
7. If you'd like, apply your eyeliner now. I didn't use any liner because this is supposed to be super natural. Lastly, curl your lashes, apply mascara, and you're done!

Ta-da! =)

Urban Decay Naked 3 Tutorial

Pigs are flying! I finally used my Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette! Alright, so I only used two shades, but that's way better than I've done over the past 4 months. (Has it really been that long?) This look is super simple and really pretty for the spring. It's just a fresh, bright rosy look. Hope you enjoy! Step 1: Start with a base or primer. I uesd a Sigma Eyeshadow Base in Provoke which is just a nude base color. Then apply Burnout over all but the very outer corner of your upper lid. Step 2: Apply Buzz in the outer corner. Step 3: Line your top lash line with a dark brown to create a softer look. I used Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner in Damsel. Step 4: Line your waterline and inner corner in white. I used Rimmel London Soft Kohl Eye Liner Pencil in 07 Pure White. Step 5: Curl your lashes and apply mascara. I used a combination of L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black and L'Oreal Telescopic Carbon Black. Face: It Cosmetics ...

L'Oreal Telescopic Carbon Black Mascara

Let's talk mascara. I am in love with the L'Oreal Telescopic Carbon Black Mascara. I also love the Voluminous Carbon Black mascara, but it's a little difficult to work with, which prompted me to pick up the Telescopic mascara in the Carbon Black line. The Carbon Black line is exactly what it sounds like - meant to be a super black mascara, more than usual. The telescopic does not disappoint in this. I think it's even blacker than the Voluminous. To compare these two, the Voluminous is a volumizing more dry formula with a dense bristle wand, while the Telescopic is a lengthening, wet formula with a plastic applicator. (They do have a Telescopic mascara that isn't Carbon Black if you find the Carbon Black mascaras too black, like if you have lighter eye lashes.) Hopefully you can see from the above photo that this wand is a little different. It's a plastic applicator that has four sides. On each of the corners, it has the little spikes that a normal wand ...

Neutral Eye using Stila's In The Light Eye Shadow Palette

A while back I received a sample of the Stila In The Light Eye Shadow Palette and had meant to try it, but just never got around to it. Well I pulled it out about a week ago and thought I'd do some tutorials with it to decide whether I liked it enough to purchase it. So I did a couple and then my computer decided to hate me and delete pictures on my chip. We still can't figure out what went wrong. It was the strangest thing - it renamed the chip and deleted some, not all, just some. So this is actually my second time around with this tutorial. Good thing I liked this palette! It's actually a pretty good neutral palette. When I went to Ulta to pick it up, one of the workers said it was actually her favorite right now. It also comes with a dark brown eye liner, which I REALLY liked. It's super creamy and reminds me of my favorite Maybelline Unstoppable, but better. If you're looking for a neutral palette, this one is good. I'd still recommend the Lorac Pro fir...
